A Mother’s Day Tribute, Raising Awareness for Alzheimer’s Disease

May 11, 2025 | Benefits of PEMF Therapy

This Mother’s Day, we want to honor a remarkable woman—Miss Idolly Anderson—whose journey with Alzheimer’s disease reminds us of both the struggles and the enduring strength of those affected. Though her memory has faded and her sense of self has been gradually taken from her, her spirit remains a beacon of love and resilience for her family.

Miss Idolly is currently 80 years old and lives with her daughter Joellen and her family. Once known for being bold, feisty, and full of life, she enjoyed sharing her vibrant personality and caring heart with everyone around her. Her family cherishes every moment they can still share with her, knowing how much has been lost and how far she has come.

We remember her life beyond her diagnosis. In her early years, Dolly served with the Red Cross, offering help to those in need—an extension of her caring and compassionate nature. She and her beloved husband Clarence shared 41 beautiful years of marriage, raising five children: Randolph, Wilton, Orland, Joellen, and Ann. Her love for her family was deep and unwavering, and she was especially devoted to her grandson Michael, whom she cared for as her own son.

Tragically, she faced profound losses—her daughter Ann was the first to pass away as a young child, followed by her dear husband Clarence, and later her son Wilton. These devastating losses deeply affected her, yet she continued to carry her courage and resilience in her heart.

From four of her five children, she became a proud grandmother of 32 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to 44 great-grandchildren. Her legacy continues through generations of love and family bonds, though her disease has cast a shadow on her today.

The heartbreaking reality is that Alzheimer’s has slowly taken away her memories, her voice, and her personality. It’s a slow, painful process for her family to watch as the woman they cherish slips further into silence and confusion. Yet their love and dedication never waver—they seek every way to bring her moments of peace, comfort, and dignity.

We understand the profound toll that neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s can take—not only on the individuals affected but also on their families. That’s why we’re grateful for innovations like PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy, which has shown promising benefits in supporting sleep, reducing anxiety, and promoting relaxation—helping create moments of calm and comfort during this difficult journey.

Recommended Use for PEMF Therapy

PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy is a versatile and non-invasive complimentary therapy designed to promote overall wellness and support the body’s natural healing processes. For best results, follow these general guidelines:

  • Frequency: Use your PEMF device 3 to 5 times per week initially, gradually adjusting based on individual response and comfort.
  • Duration: Sessions typically last between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the device and specific goals.
  • Placement: Target the area of concern or use full-body applications for systemic benefits, following the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • Consistency: Regular use is key to experiencing the full range of benefits, such as improved sleep, reduced pain, decreased anxiety, and enhanced relaxation.
  • Precautions: Consult with a healthcare provider before starting PEMF therapy, especially if you have implanted medical devices (like pacemakers), are pregnant, or have other health conditions.

For specific conditions like Alzheimer’s support, sleep improvement, or pain management, consult your healthcare provider to develop a personalized care plan. PEMF therapy is most effective when integrated into an overall wellness routine that includes proper nutrition, exercise, and medical care.

While we dream of a future where a cure is found, today we are grateful for tools that help bring relief and meaningful moments of peace. We hold onto hope and remain committed to supporting families walking this difficult path.

On this Mother’s Day, we remember Miss Idolly—you may not remember the people that love you the most, but your love, strength, and legacy continue to inspire us all.

Happy Mother’s Day, Miss Idolly!
